How to Run Windows 10 on Mac M1 using Parallels (Guide)

In November 2019, Apple launched the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and Mac Mini based on the first generation of chips. Apple’s first generation silicon chips are called Apple M1. The Apple M1 chip is an ARM chip designed specifically for the Mac. The chip runs under MacOS Big Sur. But what if you want to use Windows on a Mac running M1. Yes, you can use Windows 10 on a Mac M1. Learn how to install Windows on your Mac M1.

To run Windows 10 on a Mac M1

Apple’s new M1 chip has a different architecture than Intel’s. As a result, applications, software, and games compatible with other chips may not work properly on the Mac M1. We’ve created a guide to the apps and games that run on your Mac M1. And in this guide, you’ll learn how to install Windows on a Mac M1.

Apple also prevents users from loading iOS apps on Mac M1s from the site. Early users could use a workaround to load applications in parallel. However, if you now try to start from the page, an error will occur. Fortunately, Apple’s M1 chip is based on ARM, which makes it possible to install an ARM-based operating system. You can install Windows 10 ARM, but you cannot install the X86 version of Windows 10.

On Intel-based Macs, we can use Boot Camp to get Windows on a Mac. But since the Apple M1 is an ARM-based chip, Boot Camp won’t work on modern Macs. So here’s a guide to using Windows on the Mac M1. In this tutorial we will use Parallels Desktop for Mac with the Apple M1 chip. It’s still under technical review, so there may still be some bugs, but the performance is decent.
