SolSeraph Is A Spiritual Successor To ActRaiser And Comes To Switch On July 10 –
One of my favorite games in the Super Nintendo launch window was Enix’s ActRaiser. Not only did he mix classic 2D action sequences with levels of top-down strategy, but he also set the bar very high for what could be achieved with the (then) new 16-bit SNES sound chip. In the end, the sequel threw away what made the original so appealing, and the series died with it.
Of course, there have been a few attempts to mimic a similar course, but we haven’t had the pleasure of playing a good one yet. SolSeraph should change all that if he goes on the podium on the 10th. July from Ace Team and Sega. Even Yuzo Koshiro, the famous composer of ActRaiser, came back to record the theme music! It’s a pleasure to get it through the online store for a very reasonable price of $15! See details below and the official website for more information.
OFFICIAL CONFESSION:
SolSeraph, the latest game from developer ACE Team (Rock of Ages, Zeno Clash), arrives on the 10th. July 2019 for £14.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam for PC! SolSeraph puts you in the role of an all-powerful deity charged with restoring civilization and protecting mankind from the constant threat of demons and mythical monsters!
At first there was just chaos…
…Until the day the Heavenly Father and Earthly Mother banished chaos and created the world…. They created the stars and the sun, the water and the earth. Then they created plants and animals, and finally their favorite creation: mankind. When they were ready, Heavenly Father and Earthly Mother left the world to develop independently.
But the Lesser Gods were arrogant and cruel, so they tormented humanity with fires, storms, and floods until all the tribes scattered across the earth, struggling to survive. But Helios, the knight of the dawn, child of God and man, came to the aid of mankind.
SolSeraph Functions :
- Restoring Mankind to Prosperity – Balancing lateral action with elements of top-down strategy, carefully guiding each tribe out of the clouds to expand its territory and dispel the dark fog that surrounds its lands. Once each creature’s lair is revealed, you must play the role of Helios to fight the monsters head-on.
- Armed with a sword, a shield, and magical bows, Helios must take on an array of enemies, including goblins, beasts, bats, and more, who are about to become the young God who controls him. By defeating these difficult enemies, Helios gains new magical powers such as healing herbs and ice cubes.
- Defending the Homeland – Each tribe decides how to shape their village, using various units, from houses and farms to support the growing population, to building barracks for warriors and turrets to defend against waves of monstrous attacks.
- A reference from the highest authority: Yuzo Koshiro, the legend behind many classic game soundtracks, composed the opening theme for SolSeraph. In addition, renowned writer Jonas Kirazes (Talos Principle, Sea Will All Claims) lent his talents to the game’s compelling narrative.
