Windows 10 Apps Won’t Open (or close immediately) after windows update [Solved]

Will Microsoft’s store and applications stop opening after the Windows update? Windows 10 applications not opening or Windows 10 applications opening and closing just after system restore? Can’t open 10 application windows from the Start menu or taskbar? A program that runs in Task Manager but does not open Windows 10. There are several reasons why Windows 10 applications do not open. The most common problems may be that your PC is not updated, applications are blocked by Windows or a third-party firewall. Repeatedly corrupted system files, an incorrect date and time, or a corrupted user account or even a corrupted Windows Store cache also prevent Windows 10 applications from opening.

Windows 10 applications no longer work after update

If you are having problems with Windows 10 applications not opening when you need them, apply the solutions below to solve the problem.

Before applying solutions, restart the computer and try to open an application from the store to see if the problem is resolved or not.

  1. Press Windows + R, type wsreset.exe and click OK. Allows you to uninstall the Windows Store without changing account settings or deleting installed applications.
  2. In addition, temporarily disable or remove third-party antivirus programs if they are installed on your computer, and disable the VPN (if it is connected).
  3. You should also reboot and see if the problem can be fixed. A restart will reveal whether the problem is due to third-party software.
  4. Run a system file check utility to help you troubleshoot when damaged system files prevent Windows 10 programs from opening or applications from opening and closing immediately.
